My name is James

The best way I can describe my journey to my present blessing of God leading me to The Way Riderz Motorcycle Ministry, is to go back to 2003. When on May 18, about 3pm on Mother’s Day, I was getting off the bus on Watt Avenue.  I had just bought my wife a Mothers Day Gift (a foot massager). Walking down the street about a block, out of nowhere a huge black dog appeared. It was the biggest dog I’d ever seen.  He was about 15 feet away from me and not tied up. I stopped dead in my tracks and just stared at him.  Just then I heard a loud noise behind me.  I turned to see 2 cars speeding at me out of control.  It was all in slow motion.  I had a split second to jump left or right but couldn’t decide.  I saw 2 or 3 bright flashes of light as the cars were coming at me.  I know they were angels.  One seemed to hold the cars still while the other whisked me out of the way.

Long story short, 2 ripped Achilles tendons, both ankles, right foot tissue damage, and hip damage. While I had 3-4 surgeries I was asking people (nurses, cops, janitors, anyone) is there a motorcycle ministry in town.  People kept giving me cards for Mark (President of The Way Riderz). Said they only heard good stuff about them. I was going nuts wanting to ride again. The doctors told me I might not ever walk again if the surgeries were not successful. I told them I would walk, even ride, because I got God. Jesus has things for me to do. So here I am December 2008, walking, riding and praying with The Way Riderz Motorcycle Ministry. By my side are my wife Jerri and our children, Sage, Cheyenne, Tristan and Trinity.

Thank you and God Bless
