The Way Riderz Sacramento
Motorcycle Ministry
SUMMER 2010
NEWSLETTER
Hi everyone in motorcycle land. Well here we are. We have made transition from spring into summer and bikes are out everywhere. If you look at Thunder Press you can see bike runs and rally’s just about anywhere you wish to go and that’s every weekend. Most rides are for one cause or another, cancer, diabetes, M.D., special charities etc. Pick and choose, most ask for 10 to 25 dollars in donation to support the cause. I know this can be kind of expensive, especially if both spouses ride, but don’t let that stop you from riding. If you can’t afford it, just join the crowd. You may not be able to participate in the poker hand or have the meal, but go and have fun anyway We, The Way Riderz M. M., have been to many events lately, participating in secular M. C. rides. I am proud to say that we have been received well by most 1% clubs in the Sacramento area. It’s been a learning experience for many as we have new riders both men and women and all brands of motorcycles. Some have never ridden in a pack and some have ridden for years. Although we are a motorcycle ministry, we wear a two piece patch and have tried very hard to earn the respect of the 1% clubs. In reality they rule the roads on which we ride. Respect for respect. Our purpose is to shine the light of our Lord, share the gospel, and serve where and when we are called.
For those of you following on our web site and are interested in starting a chapter in your area, let us know. You’ve probably read some stories posted on the net, for example last month we had a group ride with 26 bikes. Not bad, huh? We have grown to the point where we are able to represent ourselves at three different events on the same day. For example, our worship team was in Nevada performing, some went on a club ride to Oroville, and some went on a ride to honor our troops out of Folsom Harley Davidson. A couple of weeks prior, we had a Breakfast Fund Raiser, a rummage sale, and supported Hope for the Homeless. We are diverse in what we do. We had a booth at Denio’s Auction, we volunteered at NASCAR Sonoma, we have Baptisms’ at the Biblical Gardens, and we visit different churches. We also have men and women’s retreats and many other functions.
Well my brothers and sisters, I love you all. Remember: love one another, don’t judge, serve when called, and let the light of Jesus shine in you.
Your V.P. Mike
